Chase Sapphire Reserve has long been a premium card with serious lounge benefits, and the recent Sapphire Lounge buildout has shifted the math in Chase's favor for travelers in the right markets. Here's what Reserve cardholders actually get on the ground.
Sapphire Lounges by The Club. These are Chase-branded premium lounges operated in partnership with Airport Dimensions. Locations are open or announced at LGA, BOS, JFK, IAD, IAH, PHL, and a handful of others. Reserve cardholders receive unlimited complimentary access plus two free guests per visit. Additional guests are $27. The food and drink program is genuinely strong: full bar, hot food bars, and barista-made coffee.
Priority Pass Select is included with Reserve, with two complimentary guests at participating lounges. Like other issuers, Chase's version of Priority Pass no longer includes the restaurant-credit benefit — only true lounge entries count. The network reach is still broad: Reserve cardholders can use Priority Pass at most U.S. airports that have any third-party lounge.
Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounges (when flying Air Canada, United, or any Star Alliance carrier in the U.S. or Canada) are also accessible to Sapphire Reserve cardholders via the Priority Pass Select benefit at participating locations.
What Reserve does not get you: any access to American Express Centurion (those require an Amex card), Capital One Lounges (Capital One card required), Delta Sky Club (Delta-specific), United Club (United-specific), or American Admirals Club (American-specific). If you fly primarily one airline, an airline-specific lounge program may serve you better than a general issuer card.
Verdict for 2026: Reserve remains the best general-purpose lounge card for travelers based in cities with a Sapphire Lounge — particularly LGA and BOS, where the Sapphire Lounge is the best lounge option in the airport. For travelers in markets without a Sapphire Lounge, Capital One Venture X may offer a stronger value on a per-dollar basis given the broader Capital One Lounge footprint at DFW, IAD, and DEN.
