JFK is one of the great lounge airports of the United States, with five distinct terminals each hosting their own clutch of lounges. Here's an honest ranking for 2026.
Terminal 4 is the marquee terminal. The American Express Centurion Lounge JFK (Terminal 4) is genuinely premium, with a full restaurant-style dining room, cocktail bar, and shower suites. Crowding has become an issue during the evening international departure bank — plan for a 30-minute wait between 6:00 and 8:00 PM. The Wingtips Lounge JFK (T4) is the best Priority Pass option in the terminal, with shower suites and runway views. The Delta Sky Club JFK (T4) is one of Delta's flagship locations, including the new Sky Deck outdoor terrace with views of the Manhattan skyline. The Korean Air Lounge JFK (T4) is open to Korean Air first/business and SkyTeam Elite Plus.
Terminal 8 is the American/oneworld home. The American Flagship Lounge JFK is reserved for Flagship Business and First passengers — it includes Flagship Dining (table-service, reservation-required) for First-class passengers. The Admirals Club JFK in Terminal 8 is the largest Admirals Club at any East Coast airport, recently renovated with multiple bars and dining zones. The British Airways Lounge JFK in Terminal 7 (set to relocate to Terminal 8 in late 2026 with the new BA-AA joint terminal) is open to BA First and Club World/Suite passengers.
Terminal 5 is JetBlue. The JetBlue BLU Lounge is set to open in 2025-26 and will be reserved for Mint passengers and JetBlue Mosaic 4 elites.
Terminal 1 hosts a number of foreign-flag lounges including Lufthansa Business Class, Air France, Swiss, Korean Air, Qatar Airways, and Primeclass. Most are open only to same-day premium-cabin passengers on the operating airline.
Terminal 7 (current British Airways home) hosts the BA Galleries Lounges (First and Club). Terminal 7 is also slated for major redevelopment in the next several years.
Best lounge at JFK overall. The Centurion Lounge T4 if you have an Amex Platinum and the timing works. The Wingtips T4 if you have Priority Pass and don't mind the third-party feel. The Lufthansa First Class Lounge IAD is better than anything at JFK if you have the qualifying status, but you'd have to fly to IAD to use it.
