Admirals Club Day Pass: Pricing, Where to Buy, and Tips

How much an Admirals Club day pass costs in 2026, where you can buy one, and when it's worth the spend.

American Airlines Admirals Club continues to sell day passes — one of the few major U.S. lounge networks that hasn't fully eliminated single-day access. Here's the current pricing and where you can buy.

Day pass price. The standard Admirals Club day pass is $79 per person, payable with cash or any major credit card at the lounge entrance. Some Admirals Club locations also accept American Airlines AAdvantage miles in lieu of cash, generally at a rate of around 7,900 miles per pass.

Where to buy. Day passes are sold at the entrance of any open Admirals Club location, including DFW (multiple), CLT, MIA, ORD, JFK, LAX, LGA, DCA, and PHL. There is no longer an online pre-purchase option as of the most recent policy update; buy at the door.

Annual membership comparison. A full Admirals Club annual membership is $850 per year, or 85,000 AAdvantage miles. Break-even versus day passes is roughly 11 day passes per year, so if you'll visit fewer than ten times annually, day passes win on cost.

Card-based access. The Citi / AAdvantage Executive World Elite Mastercard ($595 annual fee) includes full Admirals Club membership for the primary cardholder. This card has historically been the cheapest path to a full membership for travelers who fly American.

Same-day flight requirement. As of 2024, day-pass purchasers must show a same-day boarding pass on American Airlines, a oneworld partner, or a codeshare partner to be eligible. Connection itineraries qualify.

Guest policy with day pass. A purchased day pass admits one adult only — additional guests require additional day passes at $79 each. Children under 18 traveling with the day-pass purchaser may enter free at most U.S. locations, but verify with the specific lounge before assuming.

Verdict: at $79, the Admirals Club day pass is more expensive than walk-up Priority Pass partner lounges ($35–$45 typical), but the Admirals Club product is generally more polished and crowding is lower in most markets. For a once-a-year long connection, it's worth it.
